What is email coaching? Email coaching involves the client emailing the coach . The coach and client set out a co-designed agenda. Once the client has decided on what they wish to be coached on, the coach will begin sending out regular emails to the client to probe deeper and help the client
How can email coaching be effective? Email coaching is very effective as there is no fixed time for a session and it does not have to be seen as taking an hour of someone's time. The client can email the coach at any time and get a response. Email also leaves a more permanent paper trail that the client can reflect back on.
What happens during an email coaching session? The client and coach co-design the agenda. The coach will then send a detailed and probing intake document that the client must respond to. From this the coach will then send a number of documents that will further help co-create an action plan.
What is the advantage of email coaching? Firstly convenience, as you do not have to travel anywhere. You can email from the comfort of you office, home or even if you're on the move. It has been found that like phone or instant messaging coaching, people may open up more over email rather than in a face to face situation. Many clients don't like to engage a coach in their area as someone might see them going to the coach. Clients find this makes a huge difference as the coach is completely neutral to their situation. Richard uses Blackberry Technology to ensure he can be contactable by email over 18 hours a day. Outside of these time Richard will respond within 10 hours or less.
Is there a limit to the amount of email interaction? This will be arranged, normally you will pay a fixed amount per month which will allow you virtually unlimited email coaching. Please contact Richard at info@changehowyouthink.org
Currently Richard charges $150 for three coaching sessions. Initial contact is made with the client and a number of criteria are established.
